Bringing together heritage interpreters and professionals from across museums, historic sites, cultural organisations, design, learning and community engagement, the conference offers three days of expert talks, practical sessions, inspiring site visits and shared conversation.

For Interpret Europe members working as guides, trainers, designers, writers, planners, heritage managers or interpretive service providers, the programme offers opportunities to explore how we create meaningful connections between people, places, objects, histories and lived experience.

Keynote speakers include Rhiannon Hiles CBE, Chief Executive of Beamish, The Living Museum of the North, and Bill Griffiths, Head of Programmes and Collections at North East Museums.
Delegates can also look forward to sessions exploring co-produced interpretation, community engagement, bilingual and costumed interpretation, audio storytelling, inclusive practice, visitor research, public programming and practical interpretation techniques.

Site visits to Seaton Delaval Hall, St Mary’s Lighthouse and Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens will offer the chance to experience interpretation in practice across a range of natural, cultural and historic settings.
