The theme of our Interpret Europe Conference in Pisa considered how interpretation can raise awareness of the value of treasured landscapes and places, and how it can help to change the behaviours of communities and visitors. It can also empower people to get involved and take practical action to protect our environment.
Other contributions covered interesting developments, new approaches, research findings or reports about what is going on in the field of interpretation in different countries.
Despite some rain, the 70 participants from 26 countires had opporitunties to experience some of Europe’s finest landscapes, wonderful heritage of cities, towns and villages that Tuscany is famous of. Our venue, Santa Croce in Fossabanda, is an interesting heritage site in itself.
