From 12-20 August, IE training courses for guides and for guide trainers will take place in Brno (Czech Republic). So far, trainers and participants from 17 European countries have registered.

In cooperation with SIMID, the Czech Association for Heritage Interpretation, IE is running two parallel courses: one led by Valya Stergioti (Greece) assisted by Sandy Colvine (France), the other led by Thorsten Ludwig (Germany) assisted by Steven Richards-Price (UK). The courses focus on outcome-oriented exercises on natural and cultural heritage sites, including video training and practical exams. Participants who pass these exams are awarded the distinction of IE Certified Interpretive Guides or IE Certified Interpretive Guide Trainers.

If you know guides at heritage sites or at museums who might be interested to improve their skills, please inform them about this offer. Candidates need to apply by 15 July.
