We are seeking a partner organisation to host and take bookings for Interpret Europe’s Certified Interpretive Writer pilot training course. Steven Richards-Price will deliver this course, but he is looking for assistance from a partner who can provide a venue and handle the booking/administrative arrangements. This includes managing the course budget and paying the trainer from the course fees, which will influence the minimum number of participants – likely to be 10-12.

Ideally, we are looking for a partner who has access to funding to support participants from less affluent European countries. The course involves 5-6 nights (5-day course but arriving the evening before – with some people staying overnight on the final day) sometime in early-mid July or September this year. The venue should offer easy access to the outdoors for inspiration for some of the course activities – particularly in finding phenomena/features to write about. The hope is for an international group of participants to test the principles of the course, which will be run in English.

Steven Richards-Price served on the IE Supervisory Committee for five years and is a former chair of the Association for Heritage Interpretation (AHI). He is a member of the Interpret Europe Training Team and also an IE Certified Interpretive Guide Trainer. He has been developing the new Certified Interpretive Writer course and is looking forward to running the pilot course with an enthusiastic partner.

If you think you might be able to help, please email Steven at

We are looking forward to your support.
