In March we will send a survey to all our professional members to open an exchange about how to develop the interpretive profession within IE. We will also launch the IE webinar series, offering special webinars for professional members.

Please remember that professional membership is now the standard category for all of us working – either employed or freelancing – as guides or trainers, designers, copywriters or planners, or in the management of facilities related to natural or cultural heritage. Some individual members feel they just cannot join the professional membership category for financial reasons, but we ask you to consider that we all need to contribute with our membership fees to the development of IE. The fees for IE professional membership still remain lower than those for individual membership in most other associations for heritage interpretation.

To complete our new distribution list of IE professional members, we now send this last call asking individual members to change to the professional membership category if possible. To do so, you just need to send a short e-mail to mail@interpret-europe.net by 28 February. Invoices for the 2018 membership fees will then be sent in early March.

Depending on your country of residence, membership fees for professional members range from โ‚ฌ20 to โ‚ฌ80. You can find an overview at www.interpret-europe.net/top/join/professional-membership.html.

We sincerely hope that our individual members working in the field will take this step.
