At our web conference, we presented the results of our Western Balkan initiative and we announced the release of the brochure ‘Fostering communities through heritage interpretation: Case studies from the Western Balkan region’. This brochure has now been completed. It contains 17 case studies that fulfil IE’s criteria for good heritage interpretation and several additional examples that show excellence in a particular area of work. The focus of all studies was on active involvement of heritage communities. You can download the brochure from www.interpret-europe.net/material.
With this publication, we move from ‘Fostering heritage communities’ to our next initiative on recreating tourism through heritage interpretation which will include more regions. In our upcoming newsletter you will find some information about this.
