A European Project Manager joins the team

You may recall recent news that IE has successfully secured European funding for two projects entitled, HI-People and Empaths. Following a call for applications, we are pleased to announce that Sandy (Alexander) Colvine has since been appointed a Project Manager to coordinate both projects over the next four years (HI-People is a 48 month project while Empaths runs for 30 months).
You will find more details about both projects in a separate article in this newsletter but we would like to formally welcome Sandy to the IE Office team to be part of this exciting new chapter in IE’s development.
Sandy has been a constant member of IE since 2015 and is a certified trainer and more recently a member of the IE Supervisory Committee. As a self-employed interpretation and local development consultant based in SE France, Sandy has extensive experience in European transnational cooperation projects, previously working for a French NGO managing and participating in community-based actions to help local people develop and promote their natural and cultural heritage assets for sustainable tourism.
With his new responsibilities, Sandy has subsequently stepped down from his role as IE Supervisory Committee member and we would like to thank him for his service since 2019 during some eventful times, such as the Covid epidemic and more promising developments such as the forthcoming strategic plan in which these two new European projects form a cornerstone.
