Interpret Europe
Here we are! A community of heritage lovers, colleagues and friends creating and sharing strong moments of interpretative magic. From the IE Conference 2023 we take home thoughts about the relevance of value-based heritage interpretation for green and social transition, new ideas for deceleration and strengthening slow interpretation and the feeling that along with its importance, tackling contemporary challenges can also be a pleasure if we can share it with others. We take home warmth, friendships and new hope. #iecon23 ... We are already half-way through the IE Conference 2023 in Sighișoara, an opportunity to get into exchanges, to embrace different perspectives, to choose tolerance and appreciation for diversities among us and to be inspired. We have the chance to learn from each other and find out how we can initiate learning landscapes in our own communities. #iecon23 ... See MoreSee Less

Interpret Europe
IE has just run two Certified Interpretive Guide courses in cooperation with Norske Parker and our trainer Sandy Colvine at Geiranger in the UNESCO-listed West Norwegian Fjords and at Fagernes in Valdres Nature and Culture park. We were lucky enough to attract a wide range of participants, from fjord guides, ski instructors, kayak leaders, wetland centre nature guides, farmers and small producers, archaeologists and university researchers and lecturers, which produced great exchanges and cross-fertilisation between heritage sectors. The courses are an important step for Norske Parker to anchor and expand interpretive techniques and quality standards for more meaningful visitor experiences in Norway concerning nature and culture.Photos: Sandy Colvine#iecig ...
